CURRICULUM

I. REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATING THE MASTER PROGRAM

  • 120 ECTS for compulsory and optional subjects;
  • 10 ECTS for the dissertation exam;

V. MISSION OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

(aligned with the mission of the University of Craiova and the requirements identified in the labor market)

The Advanced Chemistry master’s degree program has the overall mission of providing specialized knowledge and skills in the field of chemistry. Graduates are prepared to be chemists with advanced knowledge in chemistry. Graduates can work as specialists in various chemical labs, researchers in the field of chemistry, as well as teachers in secondary or university education (if they meet the specific requirements in the education sector).

VI. SKILLS PROVIDED BY THE STUDY PROGRAM

  • a. Professional skills:
    • o Description, analysis, and implementation of advanced chemistry concepts to deepen knowledge in the field;
    • o Identification and definition of chemistry-related objectives and development of a plan to achieve the proposed objectives;
    • o Using advanced analytical techniques in chemistry;
    • o Interpreting and critically analyzing the results obtained in laboratory analysis;
    • o Preparing professional analysis reports, writing and presenting laboratory analysis results in a scientific manner, complying with the legislation in the field, with reference to the regulations in force;
    • o Synthesising, presenting and critically analysing scientific developments in the field in an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective;
    • o Knowing and implementing legislative provisions in the management and quality assurance of analysis laboratories.
  • b. Transversal skills:
    • o Performing complex professional tasks efficiently and responsibly, in compliance with professional ethics and moral standards, following a personal work plan established on the basis of individual study;
    • o Ensuring efficient management of human, logistical, operational, and time resources in professional activities;
    • o Developing scientific studies, respecting deadlines, objectives, and professional ethics standards;
    • o Continuously informing and documenting in their field of activity and related fields, in correlation with the requirements of the labor market.
